Task Description:
Mid-trimester Review. Students are required to present their progress within a peer group environment for formative feedback and academic critique. Students are required to set up their work in spaces within or in the vicinity of River Studio to a standard commensurate with 6 weeks of dedicated studio experimentation, research and development.
Students must undertake a Risk Assessment of their chosen site and installation when appropriate. The student will be given oral and written feedback from their lecturer and peers. This feedback will offer critical guidelines and give advice for future directions.

Task Description:
Students are required to develop and prepare a Professional Catalogue to support their contemporary art project or artwork. The catalogue is to be developed in consultation with the students lecturer and will support the presentation of their work during assessment and the graduation exhibition. The catlogue will capatalise on skills learned in 2346QCA, 2347QCA and 3336QCA to include relevant images and a writing componant. The catlaogue is required to be in hardcopy form and reflect the conceptual and material interests the student has developed during their studies.

Task Description:
The presentation of a Contemporary Art Project or Artwork is to take place in Week 12. Students are required to install and present their work at the Queensland College of Art and follow all risk management procedures during the assessment period. Students are required, and advised to source and book any necessary equipment or technical support required for the presentation of their Contemporary Art Project or artwork well before the assessment period.
A Mid-Semester Peer-Based Review of work will occur in Week 6. Both the review and final assessment will take the form of a group critique. Students will be given oral feedback during the Mid-Trimester Review and written feedback after the Week 12 Assessment. Written feedback will be available approximately two weeks later in the My Marks section of the Course in Learning@Griffith.

Submission: The presentation of a contemporary art project or artwork is to be safely installed and ready for examination in Week 12. Students will be allocated a maximum of 15 minutes for their examination in which oral feedback will be provided by an assessment panel consisting of their lecturer and external moderator.

Task Description:
An e-journal is an important record of the development of the assessable item: Contemporary Art Project or Artwork. It is an ongoing research and documentation activity that will commence in Week 1 and will be formally assessed in Week 12. A students e-journal is to be made using Tumblr and will include: written reflection on lectures, class activities and studio developments; evidence of research relevant to the students personal, material and conceptual interests; considered reflection on local exhibitions; and any additional information relevant to the students comprehension of contemporary sculpture. The e-journal is to be referenced correctly using the Queensland College of Art Undergraduate Style Guide.

5.3 Late Submission
An assessment item submitted after the due date, without an approved extension from the Course Convenor, will be penalised. The standard penalty is the reduction of the mark allocated to the assessment item by 10% of the maximum mark applicable for the assessment item, for each working day or part working day that the item is late. Assessment items submitted more than five working days after the due date are awarded zero marks.
