Professional Catalogue Brainstorm

What am I going to do and how am I going to do it

Due to the nature of my arts practice, I am choosing to explore augmented reality as a medium for displaying artworks in a catalogue. I had previously worked on a 3d art gallery that used gyroscopic feedback from mobile and tablet devices and pedometer feedback to allow users to move through a virtual gallery. This technology could be applied to this project with the addition of adding camera enumeration and the awe.js code set. I will be creating a gallery of my works in 3d space.

The intention while selecting the works will be to choose those that are interactive and digitally based. The user will be able to look around freely at the works which are accompanied by a brief description, and select them by simply clicking on the image. The user will then be taken to that particular work in a new window. Users can return to the Augmented experience simply by clicking back OR closing that window. Works that are Virtual reality headset specific will contain prompts notifying them on how to experience the work.

Assessment outline
Students are required to develop and prepare a Professional Catalogue to support their contemporary art project or artwork. The catalogue is to be developed in consultation with the students lecturer and will support the presentation of their work during assessment and the graduation exhibition. The catlogue will capatalise on skills learned in 2346QCA, 2347QCA and 3336QCA to include relevant images and a writing componant. The catlaogue is required to be in hardcopy form and reflect the conceptual and material interests the student has developed during their studies.
